At Enbridge, we are committed to early engagement and meaningful dialogue with Aboriginal and Native American Peoples along our pipeline rights-of-way, based on mutual respect and trust. Our approach to Aboriginal and Native American relations recognizes and respects the history, uniqueness and diversity of Aboriginal and Native American Peoples in both Canada and the United States.

Enbridge's Aboriginal and Native American policy is founded on a set of principles that govern all of our interactions with Aboriginal and Native American Peoples. Enbridge's policy lays out key principles for Aboriginal relations, such as respect for traditional ways and land, heritage sites, the environment, and recognition of unique legal and constitutional rights. The policy is designed to ensure that Aboriginal and Native American Peoples in proximity to our projects and operations receive sustainable benefits.

As part of our engagement strategy, Enbridge strives to create opportunities that are aligned with the Aboriginal or Native American community's aspirations. These opportunities often include:

• providing funding for community investment initiatives;
• offering skills development and training;
• supporting education and scholarship programs; and
• facilitating Aboriginal business opportunities.

Aboriginal and Native American Peoples are important communities for Enbridge and we are committed to forging mutually beneficial relationships with community members of these diverse groups. We strive to improve our own guidelines and programs to address the changing Aboriginal and Native American landscape in both Canada and the United States.
