Optimizing our efficiency
The last few years have seen exceptional growth in the oil and gas industry, especially in the oil sands. In response to this growth, Enbridge put forward a number of pipeline growth projects that were readily accepted by industry and are now being implemented. However, the current instability in the financial markets has created uncertainty and the pace of growth is slowing down significantly and in some cases come to a standstill.
While Enbridge still plans to move forward with its growth plans, we understand the position many of our customers are facing due to the slow down. We remain committed to our customers and will work with each and every one of you to help ease the strain of current conditions.
Enbridge will:
- Continue to tailor new expansion and extension projects to meet customer requirements.
- Review how we operate and look for opportunities to use our existing infrastructure more efficiently.
- Promote operations that minimize new build facilities.
- Review new tolling approaches to provide the best value for our services.
- Realign our front line resources to be more focused on our customers.
- Provide better customer relations.
