From steel-toed boots to flame-resistant pants and jackets, Shannon Redding and her husband John have done their best to keep workers across Michigan safe.
In a new video, the small-business owner of Northern Lights Family Outfitters in Levering, MI, shares her commitment to safety and support of new energy infrastructure—the Great Lakes Tunnel Project.
“Last year, we went to an Enbridge pump station tour up in Mackinaw City,” said Redding. “It was awesome. The pride they take in their job, the pride they take in making sure that things are done right . . . I support the Great Lakes Tunnel Project.”
“The Tunnel will make a safe pipeline safer. I do believe that. Enbridge truly is trying to support Michigan, and they’re trying to support local and small business, and in my case, indigenous-owned companies.”
Redding is not alone in her support of the Great Lakes Tunnel Project. According to a recent poll, she is among the 70% of Michiganders who favor construction of the Great Lakes Tunnel.
