At Enbridge, we connect people to the energy they need to fuel their quality of life. Enbridge operates the world’s longest and most complex crude oil and liquids transportation system, with approximately 18,085 miles (29,104 kilometers) of active pipeline across North America—including 9,619 miles (15,480 km) of active pipe in the United States, and 8,466 miles (13,624 km) of active pipe in Canada.
- We deliver about 5.8 million barrels of crude oil and liquids every day on our cross-continent pipeline network (total includes joint ventures such as Gray Oak and Seaway)
- In 2023, we delivered more than 4.3 billion (4,377,696,295) barrels of oil, the highest annual total in our history, with a safe delivery record of better than 99.99999%
- Over the past decade, from 2014 through 2023 inclusive, we’ve transported nearly 37 billion (36,916,264,412) barrels of oil, with a safe delivery record of better than 99.99995%
- We transport about 30% of the crude oil produced in North America
- We transport about 65% of U.S.-bound Canadian exports
- We account for 40% of total U.S. crude oil imports
- On any single day, Enbridge is the largest single conduit of oil into the U.S. We move about 85 separate commodities, including more than 10 types of refined products
In recent years, Enbridge has established a significant presence in contract crude oil storage across North America.
Enbridge is a major player in the Gulf of Mexico, handling more than 40% of total offshore gas production and an even larger share of deepwater gas production.
