Robots, games, music, exhibits, food, and a fast-paced week of pure Michigan fun.

All sure signs the 2022 Upper Peninsula (U.P.) State Fair is underway in Escanaba.

For seven days, from Aug. 15 through Aug. 21, fairgoers will have opportunity to watch robot demonstrations, art sand sculptors and cheese carvers.

They can revisit decades of long ago at the Antique Steam & Gas Village, featuring old-time shops and historic equipment. For those who like music, there will be plenty, including BOOM! Entertainment, featuring daily drum shows.

Of course, a variety of livestock, rides and food await the arrival of thousands of fairgoers eager to enjoy the U.P. State Fair, a Michigan tradition since 1928.

Keeping with tradition, Enbridge again is serving as a Champion Sponsor of the event.

“Many of us look forward to the U.P. State Fair,” said Paul Meneghini, Enbridge’s manager of community engagement and Michigan native.

“It truly is a great way to celebrate much of what makes Michigan special, and Enbridge is glad to be part of the event.”

In addition to being a sponsor of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s luncheon Aug. 18, Enbridge will be staffing an informational display at the event.

“Many of our staff members who live or work in Escanaba will be staffing the booth,” noted Meneghini. “We encourage fairgoers to visit, talk with our team, get some giveaways and play a game or two. It’s a fun way to get to know each other.”
