Regulatory Information
Enbridge is proposing to construct and operate the Tecumseh Farm Battery Power Storage Project in response to a request for proposals to be issued by IESO. The project is required to help IESO, which manages Ontario’s electricity markets, to meet its resource adequacy requirements. IESO is anticipating continued rapid increases in electricity demand in southwestern Ontario and is seeking projects that can inject electricity into the grid very quickly during times of high demand. The Tecumseh Farm project is capable of meeting these requirements.
If the Tecumseh Farm project is selected by IESO, Enbridge will undertake to obtain all necessary environmental and municipal permits required to construct the project and will share such permitting details with the public via this website. IESO will make its selections in May 2023.
