Enbridge employees in the Houston office made 1,000 snack bags for children served by the United Way of Greater Houston during our annual Day of Caring.

Volunteers in Edmonton participated at a community farm, which grows organic vegetables, and volunteered at Edmonton's Food Bank. Thousands of pounds are fresh food is grown at community farms to stock Edmonton's Food Bank and local soup kitchens.

Enbridge employees supported the United Way of Payne County (OK) by beautifying the Jim Thorpe Home in Yale, OK during a Day of Caring. Volunteers scraped and painted the building and added pillars to the front of the structure for added support.

In southwestern Ontario, the Windsor-Essex United Way chapter's Backpacks to Success Program provides children in low income areas much needed supplies to help start their school year off right, and help pave the path to greater success. Enbridge volunteers helped to stuff 100 backpacks with school supplies to be distributed to children in Grades 4 through 6.

The Enbridge team in Flanagan, IL recycled medium voltage cable from the L62 Reversal Project (materials that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill) with the proceeds of the recycling being donated to the United Way of Livingston County (IL). A check for $25,626 was presented as a surprise during the community kickoff breakfast. This was the largest single donation the chapter has ever received.

Enbridge employees had the privilege of helping United Way Oxford build a pergola at a transitional house in Woodstock, ON. This facility offers supportive accommodations that bridge the gap from homelessness to permanent housing by offering structure, supervision, support, life skills, and in some cases education and training.

Enbridge team members in Edmonton supported the United Way of Alberta Capital Region by volunteering for the Tools for School campaign where over 12,000 backpacks were filled with school supplies. Enbridge hosted three volunteer sessions for the campaign and packed over 1,800 backpacks. The program aims to reduce one known barrier preventing children and youth from successful learning and participation in school.
