Line 5 #SafestWay tour: ‘Let’s get this done right’
The Line 5 #SafestWay tour recently stopped in Superior and Mellen, WI, with a message of safety, energy security, job creation and Tribal engagement. “Pipelines like Line 5 make it possible for us to get our kids to school, take our family out fishing, heat our homes, dry our crops, cook our food . . . the list goes on and on,” said Mark, of the Wisconsin Jobs & Energy Coalition. The $450-million Line 5 Wisconsin Segment Relocation Project will be built by a local union workforce. “We build pipelines with the most skilled, educated and considerate people in the industry. Let’s do this together and let’s do it safely,” said Dan Olson, Business Manager for LiUNA Local 1091.
