‘Women can do things just as well, or better’

Wisconsin-based Jeta Corporation, a distributor serving the energy industry and an Enbridge contractor, recently enjoyed a very special homecoming. Jeta opened an office and warehouse in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan—the home state of founder Linda Grow, a member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians who was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula. Jeta’s Michigan office is special for another reason—it’s staffed 100% by women. “I was so grateful for the opportunity to work for Jeta. It was the first time in my adult life that I felt like I had a career,” says Monica, manager of Jeta’s Michigan Division. Adds Linda, whose company supports Enbridge’s Great Lakes Tunnel project: “I’m going to make quite a statement, I think, with my girls.”
