Preserving a globally rare habitat in Wisconsin

An Enbridge Ecofootprint grant is helping Bayfield County restore, protect and connect the globally imperiled pine-oak barrens in northern Wisconsin while boosting species diversity. The barrens are home to sharp-tailed grouse, upland sandpiper and a variety of pollinator plants.
