Enbridge and Athabasca Indigenous Investments: A historic partnership

In September 2022, Enbridge and 23 Indigenous communities from northern Alberta signed a landmark agreement that gave the communities an 11.5% interest in seven Enbridge pipelines. Six months later, those Indigenous communities that formed Athabasca Indigenous Investments are beginning to use funds on community projects that will enhance the well-being of their people—including health care, social, educational and recreational initiatives.
