Native American-owned survey company supports GLTP ‘wholeheartedly’
Walsh Service Solutions, near Sault Ste. Marie, MI, is a Native American-owned and Service Disabled Veteran-owned small business, and its personnel represent every branch of the American military. Among other services, Walsh provides both aerial and underwater inspections of Enbridge’s Line 5 Straits of Mackinac crossing, using drones with LiDAR technology and Underwater Autonomous Vehicles (UAVs), respectively. “Enbridge does things correctly—safely, with honesty, with respect for Mother Earth. We believe in what Enbridge does, because that meets our core values also,” says Walter, a partner at Walsh and a Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians Band member. Enbridge’s Great Lakes Tunnel Project “truly is the right thing to do. It would make a very safe pipeline even safer,” adds Dan, managing partner at Walsh. “We understand it, and we support it wholeheartedly.”
