Since your merger, I have concerns about the 15% withholding tax on foreign owners of Canadian stock. Are there plans to address this issue?

Hi Joel,
Thank you for your email and interest in Enbridge.
The 15% withholding tax is due to a treaty between the American and Canadian governments, which reduces the taxes paid by investors outside of Canada.
At this time, this is the best solution for investors to reduce taxes paid. Enbridge will not be attempting to change the tax policies.
Please be aware that some foreign investors may be able to claim the withholding taxes on their domestic income taxes. Please seek advice from your tax professional for guidance.
