Enbridge, partners support Michigan communities

Summer travel for Michiganders is underway. Recently, hundreds of Standish, MI, residents received a boost from a gas-card giveaway event.
Partnering again with Michigan-based Forward Corporation, Enbridge on June 6 distributed 630 gas cards, along with 400 sandwiches from the Subway within the Shell gas plaza. Each gas card is redeemable for $25. The cards and sandwiches were distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
“This gas giveaway exemplified partnerships at their best,” said Candice Braddock, Enbridge senior community engagement advisor.
Julie Bender (wearing vest), of Enbridge’s Bay City office, works with Michigan motorists to distribute more than 600 gas cards.
“The event had a large community turnout and went smoothly largely due to the volunteer support from Shell and Subway employees joining our Enbridge team. It was great to have that camaraderie—and even better to see the positive impact our partners and Enbridge have on the community.”
Throughout the year, Enbridge hosts similar events within Michigan communities along its Line 5 pipeline route.
Founded in 1925, Forward Corporation owns and operates various Michigan businesses, including the Standish Subway. It has partnered several times with Enbridge on gas-giveaway events.
