‘We needed to open a door’
Lori, the Director of Operations with Avery Technical Resources/Workrise, talks about the apprenticeship inspector program for Tribal members, developed in partnership with Enbridge for the Line 3 replacement. “Not too many companies do this,” says Stretch, one of two seasoned pipeline professionals who are mentoring apprentice inspectors on the project. “It’s kind of a new thing in the industry, and it’s good. We have the opportunity to help guide people into a career that would be a good fit for them.”
