Tribal cultural monitors: ‘Everybody’s perspectives are covered’

During the survey and construction phases of Enbridge projects, Tribal cultural monitors now work to ensure that cultural resources are protected. “One thing we learned during our work in Minnesota was Tribes identifying that Western archaeologists can’t necessarily accurately identify, locate and survey for cultural resources specific to certain Native American cultures,” says Paul, with Enbridge’s U.S. Tribal engagement team.
