Enbridge’s Women in Engineering Mentorship Program
We are excited to announce that applications are now open for our inaugural Women in Engineering Mentorship Program for the 2024-25 school year!
At Enbridge, we believe that investing in the next generation, especially future engineers, is crucial for building a strong and vibrant company and community. This mentorship program aims to cultivate relationships between students and professional engineers, creating a community where everyone feels included and valued. Our goal is to connect and inspire both students and engineers to be part of a profession that reflects the diverse communities we serve.
Our vision
To cultivate a casual and welcoming atmosphere where female identifying engineering students can connect with Enbridge professionals, gaining valuable insights and support as they navigate their initial year of engineering studies.
Who should join the program?
We are looking for female identifying engineering students who are enthusiastic about participating in our mentorship program. We especially encourage students who have faced barriers or challenges, are first-generation engineers, or lack access to engineering mentors in their current networks to join.
Why should you join?
Enbridge has a vast network of engineering professionals across Canada and the US, working in various areas of our organization. With the diversity and depth of engineering experiences in our network, we aim to provide you with the support you need to succeed in both school and your engineering career.
Our goal is to ensure you are well supported by offering virtual group mentorship, drop-in mentorship as needed, and individual one-on-one mentorship throughout the school year. This program provides a valuable opportunity to network not only with engineers but also to connect with students from other universities, helping you build a strong community.
Structure and commitment
We understand that engineering can be challenging, which is why our program requires minimal time commitment and features a simple application process.
The program consists of three optional components and spans one school year (November to April):
- Group mentorship sessions: These virtual group sessions cover various topics to help students plan their engineering studies and career paths.
- One-on-one mentorship: Informal meetings with your assigned mentor are tailored to the mentee’s needs, allowing discussions on important issues and topics. While monthly meetings are recommended, mentors and mentees can choose a schedule that works best for them.
- Drop-in mentorship: These sessions offer support and guidance from Enbridge engineers on specific topics or challenges students may encounter on an as needed basis.
We're constantly on the lookout for talented professionals and tradespeople of all skill levels and experience to join our team.
