Enbridge’s Females in Engineering (FEMINEN) Employee Resource Group has partnered with Braided Journeys, an Edmonton-based Indigenous youth leadership program that mentors female and non-binary youth in STEM pursuits. The program connects Edmonton Catholic Schools students with women who work in STEM careers. “What Braided Journeys has done is really create that space for industry partners to come and connect with our youth,” says Pam Sparklingeyes, Manager of Indigenous Learning Services with Edmonton Catholic Schools. “I think that’s what reconciliation looks like in practice.”
